About Open Atrium

Open Atrium 2.0

Open Atrium is a collaboration platform designed to help organizations manage their communications, teams, and knowledge.

As a flexible, open source solution, Atrium is not a single, standalone “solution,” but a platform that can be used to create an intranet, web portal, social forum, or project management tool, or a combination of these.

Atrium has core features to support knowledge management, collaboration, and communication, but through its pluggable framework, can also be extended to integrate with enterprise-level applications focusing on project tracking (like JIRA), time tracking (like Harvest, AtTask, or OpenAir), wikis (like Confluence), sales and fundraising tools (like salesforce and raiser’s edge) and content management (like Alfresco and Sharepoint)

Atrium 2.0 uses a completely new architecture that takes advantage of the inherent features and capabilities of Drupal 7; and that meets the Drupal community’s stated needs for a more pluggable architecture, a more flexible framework, and more opportunities for extension and customization.
